Thermage

Thermage is a bi-polar radiofrequency device made by Solta Medical that can perform both skin tightening and cellulite reduction treatment using different disposable "tips."  With just a single treatment session, Thermage can help patients achieve smoother, younger-looking skin and improved body contours.

Thermage Indications

Thermage is the only non-invasive procedure for skin tightening that takes place in a single treatment with no injections, and little to no downtime.

Thermage is FDA approved to temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite and reduce wrinkles caused by mild skin laxity on virtually any part of the body and face, including the upper and lower eyelids, neck, hands, upper arms, abdomen, buttocks, thighs and knees.

Cellulite reduction and skin tightening treatment with Thermage is safe for adult men and women of all ages and skin types.

Body by Thermage tightens and helps renew your body’s collagen to firm, lift and contour your skin. Treats crepey or sagging skin on the tummy, knees, arms, legs, hands or buttocks, sagging skin or unwanted bulges after pregnancy or weight loss, and reduces the appearance of cellulite.

Face by Thermage helps smooth and tighten your facial skin, while redefining the natural contours of your face. Treats Sagging skin, Loose jowls, sagging skin under the chin, wrinkles and fine lines around the face.

Eyes by Thermage helps smooth and tighten around the eyes and eyelids resulting in eyes that look younger, lifted and more awake. Treats tired looking eyes, excess skin on the upper eyelid, crepey texture of eyelids, wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes.

Thermage Treatment

Thermage works by heating the lower layers of skin (called the dermis and subcutaneous tissue), which stimulates the production of collagen proteins that provide structural support to the skin and keep it looking smooth with only a single treatment.

Depending on which face or body area you choose to have treated with Thermage, a typical Thermage treatment session takes approximately 45 to 90 minutes.  During your Thermage treatment, the outer layer of your skin (called the epidermis) is continuously cooled to minimize discomfort.

Thermage Recovery

There is no downtime required after Thermage, so you may return to work and normal daily activities immediately following treatment. Over the next one to six months, the full results of your Thermage treatment will become apparent, and you will see improvement in skin irregularities, such as cellulite and wrinkles, as well as tighter skin.

Although Thermage results do not diminish over time, as the aging process continues you may need touch up treatments every two to three years to keep skin looking smooth and youthful.
