Facial Veins

Facial veins and vascular lesions can often be removed or significantly reduced by a dermatologist.  Many of these conditions are present from birth and can be disfiguring for those who exhibit them.

Indications for Facial Vein Treatment

Visible facial vein conditions, such as the following, can be lightened or removed:

  • Broken blood vessels
  • Cherry angiomas
  • Hemangiomas
  • Combined small and large vessel growths

However, lasers may not be able to treat deeper types of hemangiomas and arterio-venous malformations. Treatment for these conditions usually includes lasers, as well as oral medication and possible injections.

Removal of Pigmented Lesions

Depending on the specific lesion to be removed, we have a number of technologies capable of completely eliminating or significantly lighten pigmented lesions, including freckles, age spots, liver spots and various birthmarks.

Our lasers produce one or more specific light wavelengths, which are absorbed by the pigment’s abnormal concentration of melanin. The rapid absorption of light energy causes the melanin to to breakdown, reducing its concentration and leaving the treated skin uniform in color and texture.

We have the most advanced lasers available today for the removal of pigmented lesions, and they can be applied to almost any area of the body.  Contact Sadick Dermatology to learn more about facial vein treatment.
